I grew up in Tacoma, Washington. Whether it was the keyboard in the corner of the kitchen, our Wurlitzer that was gifted to our family by a member of our church, or the Steinway on stage at the Stefanie H. Weill Center for the Performing Arts in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, I've been playing the piano for as long as I can remember. I began playing in church with my mom as a second grader and accompanied several services as well as choir and classroom singing.
When my family moved to Howards Grove, Wisconsin in 2005, many new opportunities to play piano arose. I have studied piano both at Lakeland College and Martin Luther College. I've been blessed to have the opportunity to play for several art openings, the 2008 Unity Music Festival in Sheboygan, and have played professionally at both The Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake, WI and The American Club in Kohler, WI.
As an eighth-grader, I became very interested in music composition. I got some notation software for Christmas that year, and I've been composing and arranging almost nonstop since then. I have won several state-wide awards in Wisconsin for my compositions. In 2010 I released my first solo piano album THE BIRTHDAY OF A KING. I've since released several more solo piano albums and many piano sheet music collections.
I grew up as a church pianist. I write music for the church pianist. My goal is to create music that excites and challenges the pianist but is easily enjoyed by the listener.
I'm so thankful that God has given me such a passion for music, and I'm so happy that he's given me the opportunity to share it with so many people!
